FFA Students Present Thesis Progress: Reviewing Research to Enhance Academic Quality

Thesis progress presentations provide not only an opportunity to assess students’ preliminary research outcomes but also a valuable mechanism for identifying areas that require timely revision before entering the final stage of thesis completion. With this objective, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at Lac Hong University organized a thesis progress presentation session for students from Classes 23KT111, 23NH111, and 23LG111.

The session was conducted online via Zoom at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Participants represented three academic disciplines within the Faculty: Accounting, with 11 research topics undertaken by 21 students; Finance and Banking, with 12 topics undertaken by 24 students; and Logistics and Supply Chain Management, with six topics undertaken by 12 students. In total, 29 research topics involving 57 students were presented and reviewed during the session.

To ensure that the evaluation process was focused and aligned with the respective areas of specialization, the Faculty established three evaluation panels comprising faculty members with relevant academic expertise. The panels reviewed students’ presentations, engaged in academic discussion, and provided constructive feedback to support the further development and refinement of their research.

Through the progress presentations, students were given the opportunity to critically review their research directions, methodologies, content, and thesis implementation progress. Feedback from academic supervisors and evaluation panels provided an important foundation for students to identify areas requiring further development and revision, thereby enhancing the overall quality of their theses before proceeding to the final stage.

Beyond monitoring academic progress, the activity also contributed to strengthening students’ competencies in scientific research, research presentation, academic discussion, and formal presentation before an academic panel. These competencies are essential not only for successful thesis completion but also for postgraduate study and future professional practice.

The organization of thesis progress presentations for students in Accounting, Finance and Banking, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management further demonstrates the Faculty of Finance and Accounting’s commitment to supporting students throughout each stage of the thesis process. Each progress presentation provides students with an opportunity to reflect on their research journey, incorporate constructive feedback, and progressively improve the quality of their academic work with a strong sense of rigor, initiative, and responsibility.
