Lac Hong University 2025: Strengthening Quality through Strategic Hospital Partnerships

In the context of higher education increasingly emphasizing applicability and students' ability to integrate into the real world, building a network of corporate and healthcare partnerships is one of the core criteria for evaluating and ranking universities. In 2025, LHU continued to solidify its position on prestigious rankings by expanding and deepening strategic collaborative relationships with major healthcare facilities in Dong Nai province and neighboring provinces and cities.

Comprehensive memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with Key hospitals

To ensure an academic environment closely linked to clinical practice, LHU implemented deep collaborations with three major hospitals through Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), including:

  • - University Medical Shing Mark Hospital
  • - Thu Duc Regional General Hospital
  • - Gia Dinh People's Hospital

These agreements go beyond simply providing internship locations; they expand into in-depth professional collaboration activities. Experts and doctors from the hospitals directly participate in the advisory process and the updating of LHU’s training programs, ensuring that students have access to the latest medical standards and healthcare technologies.

An expansive and diverse clinical practice network

In addition to the three hospitals with signed MOUs, LHU has expanded its partnerships with four other reputable healthcare facilities, forming a network of seven clinical practice facilities for students in 2025, including:

  • Thong Nhat Dong Nai General Hospital
  • Dong Nai -2 General Hospital
  • Thuan My ITO Dong Nai Hospital
  • Vinmec International Hospital

The diversity of this partner network—ranging from public and regional hospitals to private international healthcare systems—provides LHU students with a comprehensive understanding of various medical management and operational models.

Practice-Based Training Model: From Observation to Clinical Practice

LHU’s healthcare facility connection activities are designed in alignment with the students' capacity development roadmap, meeting the most rigorous standards of international quality accreditation:

  • Clinical observation (First year): Right from their first year, students are organized to visit and observe at hospitals to form professional awareness and understand the authentic working environment.
  • Practical internship (Final year): Students immerse themselves in a professional working environment, directly participating in supporting professional activities under the supervision of medical experts.
  • Graduation report: The graduation reports of final-year students are developed after 3 to 5 months of continuous internship at healthcare facilities, under the guidance and evaluation of clinical professionals at the hospitals.

Key results in 2025: LHU recorded 157 students completing intensive internships lasting over 1 month at partner healthcare facilities.

These figures and achievements demonstrate LHU’s efforts to build a professional partnership network and strengthen students’ professional competencies. Maintaining and expanding partnerships with healthcare facilities contributes to enhancing the quality of education, providing students with valuable practical experience, and developing their professional competencies, while also strengthening the university’s reputation through collaboration with domestic and international partners.
